Terms of Use
Last updated: 31 October 2026
These terms govern the use of GuestBusters, provided by [Denominação social], tax number [NIPC], registered at [Morada da sede]. By creating an account you accept them. The Portuguese version prevails.
The service
GuestBusters lets short-term rental hosts create digital welcome books, share them by link or QR code, collect guest details and suggest local experiences.
Account
You must be at least 18 and give accurate details. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens in your account.
Plans, founders programme and payments
There is a Free plan and a Pro plan. Hosts who join during the founders programme get Pro on the terms announced when they signed up. When paid plans become available, prices are shown on the site before any charge.
Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe, renew automatically at the end of each period and can be cancelled in the dashboard, staying active until the end of the period already paid.
Experiences and commissions
When a guest books an experience through the welcome book, the host earns a commission on the booking value: 2% on Free and 8% on Pro, unless different terms are announced for a partner. Commissions are shown in the dashboard and paid once the partner confirms the booking. Earnings examples on the site are illustrative.
Your content
Content you publish stays yours. You allow us to store, translate and show it to your guests, only to provide the service. You may not publish illegal or misleading content or content that infringes others’ rights.
Guest data (processing)
For your guests’ data, you are the controller and GuestBusters is the processor (GDPR art. 28). GuestBusters therefore:
- processes that data only to provide the service and on your instructions;
- ensures confidentiality of anyone with access and appropriate security measures;
- uses only the sub-processors listed in the Privacy Policy and tells you before changing them;
- helps you answer data subject requests and notify data breaches;
- deletes or returns the data when the account ends, unless the law requires us to keep it.
You are responsible for informing your guests and for meeting your legal obligations as a host, including reporting guests to the authorities.
Availability and liability
We do our best to keep the service available, but there may be interruptions for maintenance or third-party failures. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits or indirect damage, and our total liability is limited to the amount paid in the previous 12 months.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, with notice where possible.
Changes, law and disputes
We give at least 30 days’ notice of material changes to these terms. Portuguese law applies. Consumers may use an alternative dispute resolution body listed at www.consumidor.gov.pt or the EU online dispute resolution platform.
